BRAZIL!!!

This will be a way for family and friends to hear about what we are doing while in Brazil.

Today was our first day together as a group.  It was so nice to see everyone together with big smiles on our faces... ready to go to Brazil.
We first had a meeting and were so kindly reminded that we may daily hit a wall but that we should keep going because we serve a God who is bigger than any wall.  It may be a challenge for us but need to understand that our focus needs to be on God and not that wall.
We then got some gear for our tour and headed to the new indoor facility on campus.  We just got out on the turf and started playing, 5 v 5 plus 1.  It was a blast!
After that we headed to a spaghetti dinner at Amy's house.  After dinner we had our short little portuguese lesson for the day.  We then talked about what Identity/Significance is.  For our trip our identity is in Christ not soccer.  Although we are going to Brazil to play soccer, our main purpose is to share as much as possible about our Lord and Savior with those wonderful Brazilian people.
John 15:1-5 talks about the TRUE vine.  The vine that you are connected to is in direct correlation with the fruit you bare, make sure its not a false vine.  Our identity/significance is found in our priorities.  We must keep our priorities in line.  We want to make sure that our vision of our priorities are the priorities that people see in us.

Something to take with you:

What are your top 3 priorities?

If someone were to follow you around all day and at the end of the day tell you what they thought your priorities were, would they be what you first said?

"God provides all the essentials for discovering our true identity."
